Bavaria & Italy 2025 rally
29 May - 20 June 2025
Duration: 20 nights + 2 Freestyle nights
Our next rally will take a slightly different format to previous years. We will be meeting in southern Germany, then venturing into northern Italy having had a freestyle break.

Bavaria is one of our favourite destinations with it's own special character, quite different to other parts of Germany. Expect to see the locals in their Lederhosen and some spectacular scenery.

Lake Garda, the largest in Italy, is a popular holiday location and is known for it's crystal clear water. At the south end, the town of Sirmione is dominated by the Rocca Scaligera, a fortress with harbour views. The nearby Grotte di Catullo archaeological site includes a Roman villa.

Schwangau, Bavaria
29th May – 8 nights
The rally starts at our first campsite situated on a lakeside near to the town of Schwangau. It has a beach and a jetty where pedaloes and rowing boats can be hired. There are numerous cycling opportunities including visiting the nearby town of Füssen and the famous castles of Neuschwanstein (which served as inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle) and Hohenschwangau. There is also a regular bus service that stops outside the campsite gate.
Other main attractions include the Tegelberg cable car to ride up into the mountains at the foot of which is a summer toboggan run. For something more relaxing, the Krystal Therme is only a 10 minute bike ride away. Sit in a hot salty pool and gaze at the magnificent mountains.
You don't always have to cook, as the camp site has a pizzeria and restaurant (with full menu). The camp site also supplies provisions and fresh bread.
Freestyle nights
6th & 7th June
This is an opportunity for you to go off and 'do your own thing' for a couple of nights. Perhaps you wish to explore the local area a little more or maybe stop off in Austria en-route to our second site in Italy.
The choice is yours!
There are no pre-booked campsites for these two nights.
Sirmione, Italy
8th June – 12 nights
Our second site is on the south bank of Lake Garda, located exactly between Sirmione and Peschiera, both just a few kilometres away. The site has direct access to the lake and the nearest beach is about 10 minutes’ walk away. The site features its own swimming pool with parasols and loungers, small supermarket and a bar/restaurant serving home made tiramisu and Pilandro wine from their own vineyard.
There is a bus stop just outside the main gate where you can catch a bus to Sirmione, which lies on a small peninsula and is known for its imposing fortress and many interesting shops. We also plan to arrange a (service) bus trip to explore the romantic city of Verona, where Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet is set.
